Our Mission
Cornhole Connects Community is about building authentic relationships where they matter most. We partner with school districts and municipalities to connect youth with community mentors and offer customized corporate team-building events to help businesses strengthen staff rapport. Our high-tech tournament format gets people off their phones and into the game. Connecting our communities is our most important mission.
Why Cornhole?
Unlike many sports, cornhole is a "leveler." It doesn’t require specialized athletic ability, making it accessible to everyone regardless of age or fitness level. When a teenager and a Police officer are teammates on a cornhole court, the traditional barriers of authority and apprehension begin to dissolve, replaced by communication, shared strategy, and mutual respect.
Nearly two decades in education have taught Joe that building rapport is the foundation of any student's success.
By taking the game from the backyard to the professional stage, he has seen how Cornhole acts as a "level playing field" where barriers disappear. His main goal is
"to use this platform to foster real relationships, creating a stronger, more connected community one toss at a time."
Our Founder
In 2020, Joe Sorrentino and four friends took a set of boards in the backyard . That spark ignited one of New Jersey’s most successful leagues and led to his appointment as ACL State Director. Today, he has not just grown the game—He's completely transformed the standards of competition across the entire state of New Jersey.
The Educator’s Edge: Joe has 19 years in public education, mastering the art of building rapport and connecting with youth. I know firsthand that connection must come before correction.
Joe is the ACL Expert serving as the New Jersey State Director for the American Cornhole League since 2022, overseeing the sport's professional growth and competitive integrity.
The Community Catalyst: Joe transformed a local hobby into a powerhouse league that successfully revitalized an American Legion post, proving the economic and social power of the game.
